The main venue of the conference will be the event venue Tiivistämö, located in downtown Helsinki. The venue will have its official opening on 21 September. Check out the newly launched Tiivistämö Website.
The area is called Suvilahti and it is a part of a downtown area in Kalasatama, a fast growing part of the city at the moment.
Suvilahti provides venues for many different cultural and art societies and restaurants. Cable Factory Oy administers the Suvilahti area and rents out the venues to different event management companies (for the likes of Flow Festival, Tuska, etc.) and other event managers.
The Youth Services event office will soon be relocating its services to the Suvilahti area, in the Tiivistämö venue.
Tiivistämö services in brief:
- A stage and technical facilities, max. 200 seats.
- Tiivistämö in action provides work experience for around 40 young people a year.
- Supports and produces approx. 250 events a year (art, music, theatre, dance and film).
- Provides an arena for different event organisers and youth groups, for example those focusing on marginal culture (break outs in J-Rock / K-Pop in Finland).
Tiivistämö operations are organised by the City of Helsinki Youth Services.
Details of all the conference venues, with all necessary information, will be provided here later on!
